Finca Verde Tour

The area where we do the Finca Verde Tour is located in the northern rainforest of Costa Rica, it is a family functioning Eco-tourism project. Located in the  small town of  Bijagua de Upala, on this tour you will be able to experience the serenity and wilderness of the rainforest, this is own by a Costarican family that has been working hard and trying to create a sustainable and viable approach to organic farming. It is maintaining a diverse and productive biological system and created a heaven for birds and other animals.

During the small hike most of the time we will find sloths, lizards, hummingbirds, toucans, diverse types of snakes, mammals, insects, butterflies and also include different kinds of tropical plants, fruits and herbs. We will also visit a small butterfly garden were they reproduce rare butterflies and frogs and release them back into their natural habitats.  Finca Verde is nestled into the valley of two volcanoes in the rainforest the Miravalles Volcano and the Tenorio Volcano.
